Are the salt pans at Necton all natural?

Unlike some false advertisement recently published, the real, certified natural Flor de Sal and Sal Marinho Tradicional (fine and coarse grain) are harvested from natural salt pans, which are NOT lined with concrete. The salt pans are lined with naturally occurring clay. Unlike other products in the market place, our products are certified natural by three different agencies: Nature et Progres, Certiplanet and ECOCert. I want to use your products at home, why can't I buy Flor de Sal or Sal Marinho Tradicional directly from you?

We serve as the exclusive North American importer of Necton's products. Our efforts are focused on getting the product to the U.S. and to places where it can be sold, allowing those with more retail expertise to interact directly with consumers. If you are interested in retailing or distributing our products, we would be happy to speak with you. Why are our products less expensive than the French brands of Fleur de Sel?

Back in the 1970's, Portugal wrote regulations that separated salt into categories in the marketplace, depending on it's fitness for use at the table. Salt that is less than 99% sodium chloride was deemed a lower grade salt, and fit for industrial use, such as to de-ice roadways (the single largest use of salt in the world). As a result, even though the salt is second to none in the world, it cannot be classified as table salt.

What are your minimum order requirements?

Each one of our products is packaged to fit a different need and use. Since they are packaged differently and in different volumes, for different uses, our minimums vary depending on where your interest lies. For more specific ordering information, please contact us at orders@flordesal.net.
